Is a medical doctor. She holds a Master Degree in Medical Demography from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK. She is currently a researcher at the University of Berkeley (California).
Her areas of interest include reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, poverty and social inequality and demography.
She is the author of various articles and publications such as: Womens reproductive behaviour in Angola: findings from the 1995 Priority Survey.
