Holds a bachelor degree in Economics from Loyola University -USA- and a Master degree from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex -UK-. She is currently a candidate for a Ph.D. at the Gender Institute of the London School of Economics.
Her areas of interest include the informal sector, household survival strategies, female-headed households and social capital. She has been active in community development project focusing on womens working conditions in the peri-urban informal sector.
She holds various publications and has participated in the elaboration of the UNDP 1999 Angola Human Development Report, and the 2000 Angola Gender Profile prepared for the Swedish Authority in Angola.
