BackgroundSocio-economic research activities in Angola are scarce. The work developed during colonial times has been lost because of the absence of follow-up and the actual framework is poor. In lieu of this, research in Angola has suffered from the structural changes of the Angolan society. At present, there is little research activities and this is why it seems important to create an independent institution of Angolan right that will promote socio-economic research while developing strategic partnerships with similar institutions aiming at enhancing in the process greater development for the benefit of the existing human resources of Angola. The Institute will privilege multi-disciplinary research and will promote dialogue between partners. Instutional PartnershipThe Institute will attempt to get strategic partnerships with diverse Institutes of international fame. The Institute will work as subcontractee with other institutions to allow the creation of strategic partnerships. The Institute will attempt to partner with academic Institute and research centres specialised on Africa. A special attention will be given to financial Institute in order to guarantee financial support for the activities of the Institute.
